About Coinvertor
Made by Black Box Code LLC
Coinvertor is a real-time currency converter for people who move between crypto and traditional money every day. It launched on the iOS App Store in May 2022 and has since grown to cover iOS, Android, and Chrome, converting between 500+ cryptocurrencies, world fiat currencies, and precious metals from one keypad-first interface.
Who makes it
Coinvertor is built by Black Box Code LLC, an independent software studio run by Mario Diaz, a full-stack developer. Being independent means the product decisions are simple: one converter, done well, on every platform you use.
Why it exists
Most conversion tools are either fiat-only (great for travel, useless for crypto) or bolted onto sprawling market-data sites where a simple conversion means loading charts, news, and ads. Coinvertor takes the opposite path: open, type an amount, and every currency you care about updates at once. No account, no portfolio, no noise.
Where the data comes from
Crypto rates are sourced from Binance, the largest exchange by trading volume; fiat rates come from aggregated global financial data providers. The same feed powers the mobile apps, the Chrome extension, and the live price pages on this site, so the number you see is consistent everywhere.
How it's funded
The free version is supported by ads. Coinvertor Premium ($14.99/year) removes them and unlocks unlimited favorites with real-time updates. That's the entire business model: no data selling, no accounts, no dark patterns. See the privacy policy for the details.
