Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data is handled when you use the Coinvertor mobile app (iOS and Android), the Coinvertor Chrome extension, and this website (coinvertor.co), all operated by Black Box Code LLC. The short version: Coinvertor does not require an account, we do not sell personal data, and the app works without you telling us who you are.

What the app stores

Your favorite currencies, display preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.

Price data requests

The app, extension, and the live price pages on this site fetch exchange rates from our price feed (hosted on Google Firebase). These requests contain standard technical information such as your IP address, which is used only to deliver the response. We do not attach your identity, favorites, or conversion history to these requests.

Advertising (free version of the app)

The free version of the mobile app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and use them to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising technology policy. On iOS, the app asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any ad tracking happens; if you decline, you still get ads, just not personalized ones. Upgrading to Coinvertor Premium removes ads entirely.

Purchases and subscriptions

Payments are processed by the store you buy through (Apple App Store or Google Play). We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and keep your Premium status in sync across devices; this uses an anonymous identifier, not your name or email. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in their privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications in the app, your device's push token is used to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

This website

coinvertor.co uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, country, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose. Our hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare) also processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not require accounts, emails, or names to use Coinvertor.
• We do not store your conversion history or favorites on our servers.

Children

Coinvertor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Your choices

• Decline ad tracking via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, or limit ad personalization in your Android settings.
• Go ad-free with Coinvertor Premium.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser to opt out of website analytics.
• Email us to ask about, or request deletion of, any data connected to your use of Coinvertor.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
